"Thousands of people marched from Taksim Square to the headquarters of the Agos newspaper to commemorate slain Armenian-Turkish journalist Hrant Dink, who was shot dead outside his newspaper's office in Şişli, İstanbul, on Jan. 19, 2007, on the eighth anniversary of his assassination."

Very Christmas Paris
My wife Jbid, my daughter Lialusin, and I have been to Paris during holiday season 2014 to visit our extended family members. It was the last weekend before Christmas and Paris was very -very- crowded.
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of visiting cosmopolitan cities like Paris because of all the crowd. Yes, I'm living in Istanbul and yes, it's maybe one of the most overpopulated cities in universe. But it's my city and I know it well.
You may think Paris is the city of romance but for me, it's a city full of relatives :) Yes, it was good to see them after 15 years, I really missed them so much. But next time i wish to find more time to shoot Paris streets and less time to visit houses full of family and friends. When I travel, I want time to slow down...
I'm not a normal travel photographer so you cannot see any Tour Eiffel photos here, but I think I took some good street shots anyways. Normally, I edit my shots in black and white but Paris is a colorful city and I don't want to alter that.
I like places like Rue de Rivoli and The Flea Market. Rivoli is a good spot: busy street full of people. You can get good street captures here. It's also near to every touristic spot. The Flea Market is another part of the city. Honestly I'm not sure how we got there as our cousin Gilbert drove us. There are lot of colorful shops and great graffiti. If you like graffiti and street art, Paris is a gold mine.
You can also check Yanidel's blog if you want to find some good spots to shoot street photographs in Paris. I checked it before my visit and it helped me so much.
Here are some of my Paris pictures. See you next time.
